Hey everyone, just wanted to update you all. Last night when Ellie became fully awake again, she was still not a very happy Ellie. She began to get mad and what we believe clamp down on her airway again. So, they gave her a little dose of the paralytic medicine to calm her down and make her comfortable. When that wore off this morning, she was still not a very happy Ellie. They have tried to change her trach again, move her head (which she did not like at all) all of which did not help. So, she is on the paralytic continuously again. While we know right now this is the best thing for her, it is very upsetting and frustrating to Matt and I. Please just pray today that the doctors will begin to figure something out for her. Since Ellie is unlike a baby the doctors have ever seen before, there are not textbooks or other cases they can refer to, to know what to do. Just please please please continue to pray for our little girl. We want her to get pass this bump in the road so we can continue on the road to healing and then eventually home.
