Still hanging in there

Ellie is still hanging in there.  The ECMO is still on hold and the doctors are a little more positive.  The past 2 or 3 days Ellie oxygen sats have been low whenever the nurses or doctors have done anything to her or if she hears another baby crying, and they take a little while to come back up.  She is either getting upset or excited.  So unless something needs to be done to her, they simply leave her be.  Today, when the nurses have had to bother her, her sats went down a little but were much quicker to come back up.  Another positive sign!!  Ellie is having a minor case of pre-jaundice setting in now so she looks a little more yellow in the pictures below.  This is completely normal and they don't need to worry about it  now.

We have a long road ahead of us and we would greatly appreciate it if everyone would simply take 30 seconds (or more) a day to pray for our baby.  We don't know if she will ever be "normal" like you and me but ALL we want is to take her home and raise her, whatever condition she may be in.  This is our only shot at having a biological child, and we need her to pull through.  After Maddy and now what we are going through with Ellie, April and I cannot get pregnant again.  The level of stress that we have had through our journey has been extremely difficult.  While WE DO trust our Lord will sustain us, the thought of carrying another child 9 for months and then April going through the delivery process again, is unthinkable.
