Ellie and mommy update

Good morning!  I’m a little later getting this updated because I actually got some sleep last night… MUCH needed sleep!  April is starting to feel a little better and is up and out of bed!  She is sitting up in a chair eating some real tasty chicken broth.....she said it is horrible.  April hasn't had any food at all since Monday around 5 pm.  She is starving and wants something other than hospital food.  She is very sore but doing great.  April's doctor approved a 4 hour pass so we are going to Children's in a few hours so mommy can see Ellie!  I spoke to Ellie's nurse this morning and she is doing well.  During rounds this morning the doctors decreased the oxygen amount for Ellie because her lungs are doing a little better!  Other than that they didn't make any changes to her treatment.  They had been giving Ellie some pain medication to make her comfortable and to keep her from fighting the doctors and nurses while they were examining and treating her.  Ellie hasn't had any pain medication or sedatives since 11 pm last night so she is staying for comfortable on her own.  They don't anticipate the need to give any pain meds right now because they have completed all the testing they need for now, plus she is staying comfortable.  I will make another update after we see Ellie this afternoon.  As of now we are planning to send Sidney (our 4 legged daughter) back home in a few weeks and move out of our apartment to keep our finances in the black.  We will be moving into the Ronald McDonald's House sometime in the middle of June.  Please continue to pray for Ellie
