Today has been a great day! Ellie's overall vitals are the best that they have ever been! Her Doctor in heaven is at work! Thank you ALL for praying for our baby girl! God is listening and He's working!
Here are a few of the things that have improved:
Ellie has had carbon dioxide in her blood from her having a hard time exhaling carbon dioxide - its perfect now. She has no carbon dioxide in her blood!
Her oxygen saturations were in the 60's on Saturday - Now there in the 90's!
She has been receiving between 94% to 100% oxygen from her ventilator - Now it's 76%
The ventilator setting was on 55 - now it's on 50!
Her vitals and oxygen saturation level have been dropping every time they change her diaper, assess her, and clean her IV connections, etc. - now they are staying consistent
There are 2 reasons for all of this; first and foremost our God in heaven is taking good care of her and secondly, the CAT scan that the attending physician Dr. Greenberg (may God bless him) took a chance and used a window of time when Ellie was doing good and was able to move her and get the CAT scan. The CAT scan showed that Ellie had fluid around her lung and Dr. G thought that the fluid was causing some of her problems. Since the information was obtained, Dr. G added a steroid and a medicine to remove excess fluid from her body. All of the signs of Ellie’s improvement point to the change in treatment that Dr. G made and of course our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our God in heaven is working through Dr. Greenberg! April and I are on a high that only the Lord could have given us. We are so blessed to be in a place where a great man like Dr. Greenberg can care for our little Ellie.
Thank you all so very much for praying for our baby girl and having faith! The prayers are working and God IS listening. She still has a long way to go so PLEASE continue to pray. April and I are both so very happy and thankful that the Lord is hearing all of our prayers.

Also, please pray for our good friend Jessica as she travels up to visit us Tuesday. Please pray that God will keep her safe and give her strength and peace.
I almost forgot about my wife - sorry honey. April is doing a little bit better today. She was able to rest some today and is gaining strength.
