Ellie's new temporary home

Ellie was transportated this morning to Cincinnati Children's.  I spent a few hours with Ellie and her Registered Nurse today..... yes, our baby girl has her very own RN at the 3rd best children's hospital in the country!!  As parents, I promise that is very reassuring.  Ellie's vitals and breathing improved once she moved over and Children's took over care.  The University Hospital doctor had the staff at Children's anticipating Ellie to be much more sick than she ended up being.  Children's is very pleased with Ellie at this point.  Within 3 or 4 hours, Children's had done full blood and lab testing, an echo, several x-ray's, installed a PICC line, installed an IV, started an IV, changed her diaper, check all vitals at all locations of her body, and they didn't move her from her cart.  Every senograher, doctor, and nurse had gone to her.  Talk about efficient!  They did tell me to expect her to be up and down.  They also said that she will probably be at Children's for several months.  We have already been in Cincy for almost 6 weeks and to be honest, we were really looking forward to going home with Ellie.  But, we are going to continue to stay here and help take care of our new baby girl.  Ellie is a very tough little girl and is a very special gift from God.  Please pray for Ellie to contiune to fight and get big and strong!  April is sore, but all things considered, she is doing good.  She is one tough woman.
