Ok, I first just have to get this out there. We were told yesterday that the surgeon that we are waiting on to do Ellie's surgery was now out of town until Thursday. Matt informed me this morning that the cardiologist was in again this morning to check on Ellie and was unaware that the surgeon was out again. So, please, please say a prayer that he is not out of town. I am hoping to get a answer soon. Matt and I can't take much more waiting around. We are ready to get Ellie surgery to get her on the road to a better recovery.
Other than that, not much new to report today. We are now almost four days since Ellie's last major episode where she had to be hand bagged. That is a blessing in itself. Praise God. She is seeming to begin to tolerate her care a little bit better. The one major issue we are having is getting her oxygen down. She's not been able to have less than around 70% oxygen. This is something we don't like to see. The doctors would like her around 50%. Hopefully we can see that begin to come down in time. They had stopped her diuretics and we think that has some issues with the need for increased oxygen. Hopefully once this gets back in her system we will see a decreased need for the oxygen. Hopefully.
Thank you again for all of your prayers. What a week this has been. We could not have gotten through a week like this with our Lord above and the blessing of support He has given us down here. Your prayers are getting us through each day. We could never thank you all enough. Hope you all enjoy some updated pictures of our little miracle.
Love,
Ellie's Mommy
