Dear Friends and Family,
This has been a very rough week for all of us. The news we received on Thursday was not what we hoped for or expected. We do know, however, that regardless of what any physician, surgeon, or nurse says, our little Ellie can still get better with God’s help.
We are fully aware that we have reached the point where we need a miracle from God to help Ellie survive. But as Believers, we know He can provide that. He is the Alpha and Omega. He is the beginning and the end. He is the Master Physician. He is the Author and Creator of everything. He hung the sun, the moon, and the stars above. And although Ellie’s physical condition is difficult for doctors to treat, it is still nothing for our Heavenly Father to completely fix.
In short…we know God can still come through with a miracle if He so chooses.
So, we have a request for each of you. Will you please join us beginning Monday for a time of prayer and fasting for Ellie? Take some time on Sunday. Think about what type of fast you can participate in. Examples are listed below:
1. Full Fast – drink only liquids (you establish the number of days).
2. The Daniel Fast – eat no meats, no sweets, and no bread. Drink water and juice. Eat fruits and vegetables.
3. 3-Day Fast – This fast can be a full fast, Daniel fast, or simply give up one item of your most cherished food.
4. Partial Fast – A partial fast is from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. or from sun up to sundown. You can select from three types of fasting – a full fast, Daniel fast, or give up at least one item of food.
You choose the fast, and length of fast, God leads you to participate in.
As you fast, focus your prayers (and a lot of them) on Ellie. Specifically ask the Lord to heal her pulmonary hypertension, the lesions in her lung, the holes in her heart, to open up her airway, and to reduce the size of her aorta.
This is all up to the Lord, but remember, it is the attitude of a heart sincerely seeking Him to which God responds with a blessing (Matthew 6:16-18).
Our family would be so thankful if you would join us this week as we seek God’s intervention for Ellie.
On behalf of our family,
Kris (Ellie’s Uncle)
